Role Overview

This role sits at the front of our commercial engine. You identify clients across pharma, nutraceutical, chemical, veterinary, and food sectors - qualify their requirements, prepare competitive quotations, and convert opportunities into confirmed purchase orders. You then grow those accounts into long-term partnerships. You work directly alongside the sourcing and logistics teams with visibility to senior leadership from day one.

What You Will Do

Business Development
  • Identify and approach potential clients across pharma, nutraceutical, chemical, veterinary, and food sectors
  • Generate qualified leads via calls, emails, LinkedIn, directories, and referrals
  • Maintain a well-documented sales pipeline at all stages
Quotation & Opportunity Management
  • Understand client requirements - specifications, quantities, pricing, and timelines
  • Coordinate with the sourcing team to prepare accurate, competitive quotations
  • Track all enquiries and follow up systematically until closure or disqualification
Order Closure & Account Growth
  • Negotiate pricing and terms to close confirmed purchase orders
  • Generate repeat business and expand revenue within existing accounts
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and pricing benchmarks
Internal Coordination
  • Collaborate with sourcing, procurement, and logistics teams for smooth fulfilment
  • Keep CRM records current; share market intelligence with the team

What We Are Looking For

Education

B.Sc., B.Pharm, M.Pharm, Chemistry, Biotechnology, BBA, B.Com, MBA, or a related field

Experience

1-2 years in B2B sales, business development, customer success, or pharma and chemical sales.

Background in pharmaceutical ingredients, bulk drugs, chemical trading, or export-import is a strong advantage.

Skills & Attributes
  • Strong verbal and written communication in English and Hindi
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace
  • Comfort with CRM tools and digital productivity tools including AI assistants
